final editing

we are pulling the strings together and making the final cuts in editing and we have nearly finished our credits. we didnt realise how much time the credits would take up so we had to cut some parts out of the scenes that wernt too important.

filming session 4

today we finished up filming in the park scenes of april walking home. this was the last shots that we needed. we started editing after last session, cutting the scenes down so they flow and putting in edits for the flashback. we have yet to do the voice over and we need to put in the credits in between scenes.

filming session 3

today we went over to sams house to film the rest of the scenes in the hotel because we wernt allowed upstairs in the hotel. the scene went well and we managed to get it done quite quickly without many mystakes. we need to re-shoot a few scenes.

filming session 2

we went to the hotel today and shot all of the hotel scenes so we could get them out of the way quickly so we didnt inconvenience the owner. we took a lot of shots in the hotel to make sure that we got the scene perfect. we need to take shots of the hotel itself from outside so it is clear to the audience where we are in the flashback.

filming session 1

today we filmed the beginning part in aprils' house. we decided to use a carer instead of setting it ina mental home because it was easier to shoot at aprils house. we got all of the mental bit out of the way and we are now moving on to the flashback.

final idea

we have decided on our final idea and storyboarded it so that we have an equal amount of scenes to shoot between us. we have set up a shooting schedule and we will be starting filming in the weekend. we are planning to do a voice over the scenes so we arnt using any non-diagetic music. i have also started to put my folder into order with all of my research in it.

pitch

today we pitched out idea for our opening. we explained the beginning middle and the end of our film, a detailed opening, casting, locations, music and props. we used our research to really get the feel of a psychological thriller. we got some feed back off mrs l. she told us that we were trying to fit too much into 2 minutes and that we should cut it down. she gave us some tips on camera shots and certain editing that would help us get the feel in the opening that we wanted. this really helped us think properly and carefully about our opening.
